Job Title: 3rd Shift Team Lead – Inventory Control
Shift Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Department: Inventory Control
Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Swing Shift Team Lead to oversee our Inventory Control Department. This position will supervise a team of 10 employees, ensuring inventory processes are executed accurately and efficiently during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory operations, leadership skills, and experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 10 Inventory Control employees during peak shift operations

  • Oversee inventory control functions including:

    • Cycle counting

    • Stocking and replenishment

    • Bin location accuracy

    • Inventory audits

    • SKU consolidation and rotation

  • Ensure inventory records are maintained with a high level of accuracy

  • Monitor employee clock-ins/outs and maintain time records for 3rd shift team

  • Coach, train, and motivate team members to meet productivity and quality standards

  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions

  • Communicate with other shifts and departments to ensure smooth transitions and operational continuity

  • Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, efficiency, and productivity

  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, RF scanners) as needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications:

  • Prior inventory control or warehouse leadership experience

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and WMS software

  • Experience with cycle counting, bin audits, and root cause analysis

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic data entry

  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required)

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
