Job Full Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate knife sheets and lays-out spacer and rubbers.
• Check knives for knicks and sharpness.
• Change knife blades when necessary. Check knife performance during operations to assure clean cuts.
• Builds, removes, replaces, changes heads for multiple cuts and deconstructs cutter stands according to work order specifications/knife sheets.
• Checks clearances on cutter stands.
• Performs a variety of duties to set-up slitting machines to cut product to proper width according to work-order/customer specifications.
• May involve multiple cuts with necessity to change heads.

Skills Requires:

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals).
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
