Express in Greensboro/High Point, NC is currently recruiting for a Press Brake Programmer/Operator for an immediate opening. The role will include operating and maintaining a press brake on various machinery. Safety is the number one priority for this company, so ideal candidates will have a record of safe work habits and an excellent eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine bending requirements.
- Program the CNC press brake machine using the appropriate software
- Set up tooling, select appropriate dies, and adjust machine settings
- Load materials onto the press brake and perform bending operations
- Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the bending process
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator/Programmer is essential.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with programming CNC press brake machines.
- Knowledge of various materials and their bending characteristics.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to press brake operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
