Punch Press Operator
Job Description:
Set up and operate punch press machines to produce precision metal parts for the companies product lines.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
Select appropriate dies, punches, and tooling based on job requirements.
Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on equipment.
Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a punch press or similar metal fabrication machinery.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Commitment to workplace safety practices.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Amada, Strippit, or similar punch press equipment.
Knowledge of different metals and material handling techniques.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures.
Pay:
$16.00-$24.00 per hour (may vary based on prior experience)
Hours:
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Overtime available at the associate’s discretion
