Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Forklift / Cherry Picker
Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerks for a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment located on Meadowview Road (Greensboro, NC). This is a full-time opportunity with all shifts available, offering competitive pay based on experience.
This role requires a candidate who is comfortable operating forklifts and cherry pickers, handling inventory, and performing physically demanding work consistently throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) to retrieve and stage materials.
- Using RF scanners to verify product codes, quantities, and order accuracy.
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Inspecting goods for condition, accuracy, and discrepancies.
- Recording and updating inventory within warehouse systems.
- Tagging, staging, and organizing materials for production or shipment.
- Communicating with purchasing and logistics teams regarding shipment discrepancies.
- Performing daily equipment checks on forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Assisting with packing, order preparation, and moving materials throughout the warehouse.
- Ensuring machines and workstations are properly supplied to meet production goals.
- Monitoring packaging material levels and notifying supervisors for restocking.
- Completing required paperwork and maintaining housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Prior Shipping & Receiving experience required.
- Experience operating forklifts, including:
- Sit-Down
- Stand-Up
- Cherry Picker (Order Picker)
- Experience using RF scanners and inventory systems.
- Ability to lift:
- 50–100 lbs occasionally
- 25–50 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to read, write, and follow work instructions and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Tenured and consistent work history required.
- Safety-conscious mindset.
⚠️ This is a highly physical role. Candidates must be fully comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting and continuous movement throughout the shift.
Skills & Qualifications
- Shipping, receiving, and inventory control experience.
- Forklift and cherry picker operation.
- RF scanner and warehouse system usage.
- Strong organization and material tracking ability.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity.
- Strong communication with cross-functional teams.
Shifts & Hours
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Full-Time
- Overtime may be required

Pay & Benefits
- $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
