Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a skilled Extrusion Operator for a manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC. This is a full-time opportunity with all shifts available, offering competitive pay for experienced operators.
This is not a basic machine operator role. We are seeking candidates who can set up machines, break down components, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production quality in a fiber-based manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
As an Extrusion Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating extrusion machinery used in fiber or textile production.
- Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings to maintain consistent output.
- Breaking down and rebuilding machine components during changeovers or maintenance.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Working with fiber materials and ensuring proper processing through extrusion systems.
- Performing routine machine checks and preventative maintenance.
- Conducting quality control inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
- Maintaining accurate production logs, including output and machine performance.
- Using hand and power tools for adjustments, repairs, and setup.
- Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Prior extrusion or machine operation experience required.
- Ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery independently.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience breaking down and rebuilding equipment.
- Experience working in manufacturing or fiber/textile environments preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.
- Safety-focused mindset.
Skills & Qualifications
- Extrusion machine operation and setup.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Understanding of production flow and material handling.
- Use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to maintain efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Shifts & Hours
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Full-Time
- Overtime may be available based on production needs
Location: Greensboro, NC
Pay & Benefits
- $17.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience.
