Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Powder Coater for a metal fabrication environment. This is a hands-on role focused on surface preparation, coating application, and quality inspection of metal parts.
We are seeking candidates with experience in powder coating or similar finishing processes who can maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
As a Powder Coater, your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces (removing grease, rust, debris).
- Applying coatings using electrostatic powder spray equipment.
- Working within a powder booth environment.
- Inspecting finished parts for coverage, defects, and consistency.
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of powder materials.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Following all safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior powder coating or finishing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work in a physically active role.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Skills & Qualifications
- Powder coating or industrial painting experience.
- Surface preparation knowledge.
- Ability to identify coating defects.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Shifts & Hours
- 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Full-Time
Pay & Benefits
- $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience
