Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
A leading supplier in the Triad is hiring 2 Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technicians to support the maintenance, safety, and overall condition of its facility. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional with skills across multiple trades—essentially an industrial/commercial handyman who can troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
Pay: $20–$26/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM OR 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Start: ASAP
Location: Triad Area
Responsibilities:
- Perform general building and facility repairs
- Complete carpentry work including doors, walls, framing, trim, ceilings, and flooring
- Replace light fixtures, bulbs, and basic electrical components
- Troubleshoot minor electrical issues
- Perform minor plumbing repairs, including leaks and fixtures
- Assist with basic HVAC and ventilation maintenance, including filter replacement
- Complete painting and facility finishing projects
- Respond to maintenance requests and identify needed repairs
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
- Assist with facility improvement projects and coordinate with outside vendors when needed
Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of facilities, building, commercial, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable troubleshooting and completing repairs independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to prioritize multiple projects
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Push and pull up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, and work in various positions throughout the shift
