Sawmill Machine Operator December 23, 2025

Located in Smithfield, NC

Pay: $18/hr

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines, hand tools, and other equipment to fabricate and build components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and AutoCAD designs to ensure precise machining.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Utilize measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions of finished products.
Assist in the setup of machinery for production runs, including adjustments as needed for quality control.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that arise during the machining process.
Follow all company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures.

Skills

Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and familiarity with machining processes.
Experience with hand tools and fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of AutoCAD software for interpreting designs is preferred.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurements using calipers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in millwork or similar manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Must be bilingual.
