Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC machining, automation, and washing equipment. This role ensures that all products meet company quality, productivity, and performance standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor 5-axis and twin-spindle CNC machines to ensure efficient production.
  • Operate and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate and maintain automated washing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, faults, and production interruptions.
  • Perform daily machine cleaning and participate in 5S and workplace organization activities.
  • Accurately enter production, scrap, downtime, and other operational data into company systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T specifications.
  • Follow control plans, work instructions, procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to inspect and document part dimensions.
  • Verify that measuring instruments, including gauges, calipers, and micrometers, are calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Assist with sorting, rework, inspection, and containment activities as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment and follow the autonomous maintenance schedule.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate manufacturing and machining equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment.
