Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support warehouse and production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, maintaining accurate inventory locations, and ensuring efficient material flow to support production needs. Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions using a computerized inventory and production system.
- Supply production areas with materials as needed to support operational requirements.
- Assist with material handling, packaging, and warehouse-related tasks.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist in other warehouse or production areas as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic computer and inventory system knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Physical Requirements
- Forklift operation: Approximately 70% of the workday.
- Standing and walking: Approximately 25% of the workday.
- Climbing ladders or accessing elevated storage areas: Approximately 5% of the workday.
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying materials.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
