Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Call Intake Specialist, they will be responsible for communication with clients, client intake processes, providing excellent customer service, handling matters, and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills in a legal setting.
Duties and Tasks
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Experience in Client Intake and Customer Service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a legal setting is a plus
- Perform follow-up calls/emails/texts to potential clients.
- Prepare and send new client paperwork and correspondence; follow up with potential clients to obtain required documents or information to complete the intake process.
- Relay decision to decline potential clients once case has been rejected by Intake or an attorney.
- Maintain meticulous records in firm case management system updating matters as tasks are completed.
- Assist other departments if needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
- One (1) more year of experience performing intakes for a law firm
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite, outlook, internet, and learning new systems and software
- Basic knowledge of legal terminology, intake processes, and best practices
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to complete tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to relay empathy for others’ situations
- Excellent judgment with the ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to interact professionally with people from various backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual contributor
- Willingness to support coworkers in whatever way necessary
