Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and efficient Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen team in North Canton, OH. This role is responsible for preparing and executing a variety of menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to order, including:
  • Burgers, sandwiches, and handhelds
  • Flatbreads and wraps
  • Appetizers such as pretzels, chicken tenders, and egg rolls
  • Fresh salads and sides
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
• Maintain a sense of urgency during high-volume service periods

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in casual dining, bar & grill, or sports/entertainment venues
• Familiarity with burgers, flatbreads, wraps, and fried foods
• Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
