Machine Operator – Honing & CNC (1st & 2nd Shift)

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available: 1st Shift & 2nd Shift
1st Shift : Monday- Friday, 8- hour days and 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour days
About the Company
Express Employment Professionals in Canton, OH is partnering with a stable manufacturing facility seeking Machine Operators for Skyve honing and CNC machining operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy independent work and precision manufacturing. No prior machining experience is required — training is provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor Skyve honing and CNC machines to ensure proper operation
- Operate 2–3 machines simultaneously, remaining attentive to machine performance and part quality
- Measure machined parts using precision tools, including:
- Micrometers
- Bore gauges
- Calipers
- Tape measures
- Verify parts are machined to specification within a 0.001 inch tolerance
- Perform honing and boring operations to tight tolerances
- Identify machine or product issues and report concerns as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes
- Ability to use or learn precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a non fast‑paced, precision-focused environment
- Open to candidates from varied backgrounds
- No experience required — on-the-job training provided
Pay & Benefits
- $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
