Job Full Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Rubber Extrusion Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality rubber products according to exact specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, strong mechanical ability, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate rubber extrusion machines per job specifications
• Load raw materials into hoppers and adjust machine settings to ensure proper flow and dimensions
• Monitor line operations for consistency, quality, and productivity
• Inspect extruded rubber products using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime
• Document production data including material usage, scrap, and output rates
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around workstation
• Follow safety policies including use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
• Collaborate with quality control and production leads to meet daily output goals
Qualifications
• Previous extrusion or machine operation experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of rubber or plastics manufacturing a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
• Ability to read production specs, work orders, and measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
