Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician (EST Certified)
Location: Columbus, Oh
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $23/hour and up (Based on Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a valid EST (Edwards Systems Technology) Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, programming, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and/or residential settings. A strong background in fire alarm systems and applicable codes is required.
Responsibilities:

Install, program, and troubleshoot EST fire alarm systems and components

Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance according to NFPA and local codes

Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently

Complete accurate and timely service reports and documentation

Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Work independently or as part of a team to complete scheduled work within designated timelines

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Requirements:
-
Current and valid EST Certification

Minimum [X] years of experience in fire alarm systems (please insert your preferred experience level)

Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass background check and drug screening if required
Preferred Qualifications:

NICET certification (a plus, but not required)

Experience with other low-voltage systems (security, access control, etc.)
