CNC Operator
Location
Columbus, Ohio Area
Schedule
1st Shift: Monday – Friday
Pay Rate
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of CNC machining experience and be proficient in operating and setting up CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment. Candidates with G-Code knowledge and experience using WorkNC software are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers to produce quality parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Load materials, tools, and fixtures into CNC machines.
- Perform machine setups and make necessary offsets and adjustments.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and production standards are met.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist with other manufacturing and production duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience.
- Experience with G-Code programming and editing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WorkNC software.
- Experience operating the following machines:
- SNK-RB4
- SNK-DC4
- Makino KE55
- Okuma MA-630VB
- Setup experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
