Job Full Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemical Mixing Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, blending, and compounding chemicals according to precise formulas and production schedules. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in chemical handling and mixing operations and a strong commitment to quality control and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret batch tickets, work orders, and chemical formulas to determine quantities and specifications.

Measure, weigh, and blend raw materials in accordance with production requirements.

Operate mixing, blending, and compounding equipment safely and efficiently.

Monitor temperatures, pressures, and mixing times to ensure batch consistency.

Label and document all materials, batches, and processes accurately.

Perform regular equipment cleaning and maintenance to avoid contamination.

Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.

Collaborate with Quality Control to sample and test batches as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training a plus.

1+ year of experience in chemical mixing, compounding, or manufacturing preferred.

Strong understanding of safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.

Ability to read and interpret formulas, labels, and safety data sheets (SDS).

Basic math and measurement skills; ability to operate scales and mixers.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
