Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Dispatcher to support our Grove City terminal. This role will be responsible for assisting drivers, managing dispatch needs, and performing in-person yard checks to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and the professionalism to interact with drivers and team members throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.

Dispatch drivers and coordinate loads to ensure on-time schedules.

Perform yard checks in person to monitor equipment, trailers, and yard activity.

Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, driver updates, and yard status.

Communicate effectively with management, drivers, and other departments to resolve scheduling or operational conflicts.

Support overall terminal efficiency and safety compliance.
Qualifications

Previous experience in dispatching, rail, trucking, or intermodal operations preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of personalities; must have “thick skin.”

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with dispatch systems, Microsoft Office, and basic data entry.

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

On-site at Grove City terminal, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Fast-paced environment with constant interaction with drivers and staff.
