- Assist in unloading incoming shipments safely, verifying quantity, quality, and condition of food products.
- Stage and organize goods according to product type, shelf life, and CFIA-approved segregation requirements.
- Prepare outgoing shipments accurately, including picking, packing, labeling, and documentation.
- Report damaged, expired, or non-compliant products immediately.
- Ensure proper temperature control for perishable and frozen goods during handling and storage.
- Safely guide and secure trucks during docking operations.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (waikies) safely to move materials, following CFIA and company safety protocols (forklift certification required if applicable).
- Inspect equipment before use to ensure functionality and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary warehouse and shipping/receiving area.
- Dispose of packaging materials and waste according to CFIA-approved procedures.
- Ensure products are stored in designated areas following FIFO.
