Salary: $26 to $28 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Athletic Trainer to provide high-quality patient care based on physician prescriptions. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, coordinating with technical staff, and ensuring proper documentation of all work performed. This role requires expertise in prosthetics and orthotics, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, physical therapists, and other medical professionals.
- Coordinate with technicians and office staff to ensure proper device fabrication and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, including weight ratings and safety standards.
- Fit, adjust, and educate patients on prosthetics and orthotics, ensuring optimal function and comfort.
- Provide ongoing follow-up care to evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, adjustments, and outcomes.
- Order necessary parts, track inventory, and document all equipment used.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Stay current on industry advancements, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Maintain required certifications and licenses.
- Will be on call one week and weekend six times a year
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have expertise in prosthetics and orthotics.
- Must have an Ohio Athletic Trainer License
- Strong communication skills for interactions with physicians, physical therapists, nurses, patients, and colleagues.
- Ability to document patient interactions and treatment details accurately.
- High level of attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to adapt and develop creative solutions for patient needs.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
