Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Awning Installer. This role involves measuring, preparing job sites, installing awnings, and ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, to ensure precise installation of awnings according to project specifications.
- Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Install a variety of awnings, including fabric, metal, and custom-built structures, ensuring secure and professional attachment to building exteriors.
- Conduct site inspections during and after installations to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, fasten, and finish materials such as aluminum, fabric, wood, and related components.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in awning installation, construction, carpentry, exterior remodeling, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Experience with construction inspection and quality control practices.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment when required for site preparation or material handling.
- Proficiency with construction tools, including tape measures, levels, drills, saws, and other hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, especially ladder safety and working at heights.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
