Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Restoration Technician to oversee field operations for water, fire, mold, and other property restoration projects. This role is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can guide technicians, communicate effectively with property owners, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and supervise field technicians on restoration and mitigation jobs.
- Coordinate daily job assignments, workflow, and task prioritization.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor new technicians on procedures, equipment use, and safety.
Restoration & Mitigation Work
- Perform advanced tasks related to water extraction, structural drying, fire/smoke cleaning, and mold remediation.
- Conduct demolition activities when necessary (drywall removal, flooring removal, etc.).
- Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment with accurate moisture mapping.
- Manage contents cleaning, packing, and storage when applicable.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete detailed job documentation including readings, photos, notes, and customer signatures.
- Ensure technicians follow proper documentation protocols.
- Communicate job progress clearly to managers, adjusters, and customers.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles in clean, working order.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency responses.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in restoration, construction, or mitigation required.
- Experience leading or supervising a crew preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor in varying conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations.
- Ability to read moisture meters, complete documentation, and use mobile apps.
Work Environment
- Indoor/outdoor work; may include wet, dusty, or confined spaces.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency call-outs required.
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7:30AM-4:30PM
