Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Shop Coordinator to oversee daily shop operations, provide quotes and estimates, and assist with auto glass installation and replacement. This role combines office responsibilities, customer service, and hands-on shop work.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and greet walk-in customers
- Provide accurate quotes and estimates for auto glass services
- Create work orders and order materials needed to complete jobs
- Build and maintain relationships with local auto body shops to increase business
- Install and replace windshields, back glass, side glass, and mirrors on personal and commercial vehicles
- Receive and check in UPS and FedEx deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Complete and submit weekly reports to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Basic typing and data entry skills
- Strong math skills for preparing accurate quotes
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" and 1/32"
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Automotive, glass installation, or body shop experience preferred
