Job Title: Program Director – Part-Time
Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 20–25 hours per week
We are seeking a Program Director in Bellefontaine, OH to lead and manage program operations for a mission-driven organization. This part-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating classes, overseeing horse usage, and ensuring safe and effective participation for all riders. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage class scheduling, horse usage, and rider participation
- Conduct program intake assessments and manage inquiry forms
- Develop and track student goals for each session
- Process student payments and assist with securing funding sources
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and CHA safety standards
- Build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, instructors, and parents/guardians
- Support volunteer retention and promote consistent horse handling practices
- Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
- Collaborate with the team to create new and innovative programming for the organization
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21 years or older
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite
- Accounting experience using QuickBooks is preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Passion for working with people and supporting mission-based programming
Essential Functions
- Communicate effectively with instructors regarding student goals, horse assignments, and scheduling
- Engage professionally with parents, volunteers, and riders of all ages
- Enforce safety regulations, follow emergency procedures, and apply effective behavior management techniques
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and carry it for up to 100 yards
- Maintain the visual and auditory awareness needed to identify hazards and respond to safety needs
