IT Systems & VoIP Engineer
Location: Troy, Ohio

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems & VoIP Engineer to manage, deploy, and support client IT environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically proficient, and experienced in multi-site, cloud-integrated, and hybrid IT infrastructures. This role serves as a primary technical resource for clients, ensuring reliable operations, robust security, and strategic IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), user accounts, licensing, and security configurations.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VoIP phone systems including SIP trunks, call routing, IP phones, SBCs, and multi-site configurations.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and ongoing support across workstations, servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain workstations and servers including OS installations, updates, patch management, and lifecycle management.
- Administer network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and coordinate with ISPs.
- Perform server administration tasks such as Active Directory management, file services, backups, disaster recovery planning, and system monitoring.
- Lead and participate in client projects such as server replacements, migrations, cloud transitions, network upgrades, and security improvements.
- Assist with scoping, quoting, and technical validation for projects and solutions.
- Participate in onboarding new clients and standardizing internal IT processes.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for key clients, providing strategic IT guidance aligned with business needs.
- Provide escalation-level support for complex help desk issues and mentor junior technicians.
- Document systems, procedures, and configurations to ensure consistency, security, and operational continuity.
- Implement and support endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication (MFA), vulnerability remediation, and incident response coordination.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems, VoIP, and network administration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Server environments
- Hands-on experience with VoIP systems, SIP trunks, and multi-site telephony configurations
- Networking skills including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure
- Experience with server administration, backups, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Microsoft 365
- Strong project management and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent client communication and technical advisory experience
- Security-focused mindset with experience implementing endpoint protection and MFA
