Process Technician
1st Shift | $20.00/hour | Full-time
Job Summary
Process Technician needed for paper manufacturing facility. Create samples from machinery, conduct lab testing, operate equipment, and handle materials. Forklift and bobcat operation required.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and prepare samples from paper manufacturing processes for lab analysis
- Weigh, measure samples and conduct pulp counts - record accurate results
- Operate and maintain lab equipment and diverse manufacturing machinery
- Handle materials including steel barrels and caustic chemicals safely
- Operate forklift and bobcat for material transport
- Document irregularities and communicate with team
Physical Requirements
- Work on concrete floors with frequent reaching, bending, stooping, twisting
- Team lifting over 50 pounds, maneuver steel barrels by tilting/rolling
- Handle caustic chemicals following safety protocols
- Physical agility required for varied equipment operation
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or lab experience preferred
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Detail-oriented with strong safety focus
- Able to work with diverse machinery (some used daily, others seasonally)
