Shipping & Receiving Clerk
We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to support warehouse, inventory, and production operations in a machining and manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for processing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, supplying materials to production, and supporting daily warehouse activities.
Job Duties
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently
- Create shipping labels and documentation using shipping software and carrier systems
- Package machined parts and products to ensure safe transportation and delivery
- Verify shipment quantities, materials, and documentation for accuracy
- Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using computer software
- Supply materials and components to production departments as needed
- Assist with production support duties during periods of reduced warehouse activity
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock levels
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional warehouse and manufacturing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations preferred
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Experience using shipping software and transportation management systems preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Willingness to support both warehouse and production operations
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions and decimals
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new equipment, procedures, and processes
- Forklift certification preferred; training may be available
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods
- Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing and machining equipment
- Ability to work in both warehouse and production environments
Schedule
- Full-time position
- First Shift
- Monday through Thursday
- Hours: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
