Machine Operator - Material Processing
$21.50/hour | 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM 3 Day weekends Monday to Thursday
Join our production team! We're seeking an experienced Machine Operator to run material processing equipment, minimize waste, and maintain efficient operations on our 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval
- Safely operate, maintain, and clean production machinery and equipment
- Adjust machinery settings to maximize material utilization and minimize waste
- Process materials efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor oxygen, gas, and equipment levels; notify supervisor when replacement needed
- Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Perform warehouse duties when processing work is unavailable
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Requirements
- Previous burning machine experience required
- Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently
- Physical capability for pushing, pulling, standing, and climbing (95% of workday)
- Strong attention to detail and waste reduction mindset
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to work independently and provide courteous customer service
- Good communication skills for reporting equipment needs
