Position: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Night Shift (10 pm to 6:30 am)
Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician with strong electrical knowledge to join our clients' facilities maintenance team. This role involves comprehensive facility maintenance with a focus on electrical systems repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded maintenance professional who can handle various facility needs while providing specialized electrical expertise during overnight operations.
Essential Requirements
Electrical Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of single and three-phase electrical theory and its practical applications in facility systems
- Working knowledge of electrical code with ability to reference and apply NFPA manual standards
- Conduit work experience - able to plan, bend, and install conduit following electrical code requirements
- Panel work capabilities including installation and maintenance of single-phase and three-phase electrical panels
- Electrical troubleshooting abilities to diagnose, repair, and maintain facility electrical systems
Technical Maintenance Skills
- Wire and cable installation experience with various gauges and types of conductors
- Basic contactor control circuit knowledge for equipment and system controls
- Comprehensive facility maintenance skills across building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
- Preventive and corrective maintenance experience with industrial/commercial equipment
Professional Qualities
- Eagerness to learn new maintenance techniques, systems, and technologies
- Willingness to take on increased responsibilities and expand skill set
- Self-directed work style suitable for independent night shift operations
- Problem-solving mindset for addressing facility issues as they arise
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years maintenance experience in industrial, commercial, or institutional facilities
- Demonstrated electrical knowledge and hands-on experience
- Basic hand and power tool proficiency
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Must pass drug screening and background check
