Maintenance Engineering Manager

Location: Springfield OH
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110K to $120K DOE

About This Role

We're hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead our team and keep production running at peak performance. You'll manage skilled technicians, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and drive equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact on uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the Maintenance Department to achieve maximum equipment uptime and zero-accident performance
  • Build and execute maintenance strategy including Total Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
  • Manage PM schedules and support OPM activities to meet OEE targets
  • Respond urgently to line-down situations and drive root cause analysis to permanently resolve issues
  • Maintain all equipment and systems to OEM specification or better
  • Ensure spare parts readiness and proper staffing for equipment failures
  • Manage maintenance inventory and vendor relationships for best pricing and delivery
  • Support equipment acquisition, commissioning, and 6S initiatives
  • Set clear goals for team members and provide timely, accurate feedback
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to build a positive workplace culture

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Facilities, or Industrial) 
  • Experience leading and directing skilled maintenance technicians
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, stamping, and robotic equipment (ABB, Motoman)
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PanelView interfaces, variable-frequency AC drives, and reduced voltage starters
  • Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean methodology
  • Experience developing predictive maintenance programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of e-coat, powder coat, and pad printing systems
  • Experience with automated equipment including presses, brakes, and shears
  • Experience with PLC programming (RS Logix)
