Structural Steel Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join a manufacturing team on first shift. This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and assembling structural steel components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret shop drawings, weld symbols, bolt callouts, and fabrication specifications
• Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components according to project requirements
• Square, level, and align assemblies prior to welding and final fabrication
• Verify dimensions, measurements, and tolerances before final assembly and weld-out
• Identify and work with structural materials, including wide flange beams, hollow structural sections, channels, angles, and plate steel
• Fabricate components such as shear tabs, clip angles, base plates, and structural connections
• Use measuring and layout tools to ensure fabrication accuracy
• Operate fabrication equipment including magnetic drills, ironworkers, saws, and cutting equipment
• Utilize overhead cranes and rigging equipment to safely position and move materials
• Maintain production schedules while meeting quality and safety requirements
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

• Previous structural steel fabrication experience required
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications
• Strong layout, measuring, and fitting skills
• Experience working with structural steel materials and assemblies
• Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, move, position, and handle structural steel materials
• Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and material handling activities
• Ability to work safely around fabrication and material handling equipment
• Ability to perform physical labor in a steel fabrication environment

Schedule

• Full-time position
• First Shift
• Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
