Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
A growing metal manufacturing company is hiring an experienced Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support production operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with strong forklift experience, shipping/receiving knowledge, and attention to inventory accuracy.
Pay & Schedule
- $16.00 per hour
- Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Consistent full-time hours with overtime potential
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts (propane or electric) to load, unload, transport, and stack materials
- Supply production lines with raw materials and remove finished goods
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading incoming product and preparing outbound shipments
- Scan inventory and update materials within the ERP system
- Print and apply labels accurately to product containers
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure organization of warehouse areas
- Move materials between dock, production, and shipping departments
- Operate overhead cranes as needed
Requirements
- Previous sit-down forklift experience REQUIRED
- Experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, and inventory control
- Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanning preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and follow workplace safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and prolonged standing
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously during a 10-hour shift
- Requires good vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
