Shipping Associate / Forklift Operator – Manufacturing
Location: Springfield, OH
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Job Overview
We are hiring a reliable Shipping Associate / Forklift Operator for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory verification, and material movement, supporting daily operations with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Receive, inspect, and verify all inbound and outbound shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy of shipping paperwork and system entries
- Deliver materials to work centers to support production
- Enter and track data using Microsoft Office and SAP systems
- Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas
- Provide timely support to internal departments
- Follow direction from supervisors and management
Requirements
- Prior forklift experience required
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
