CNC Supervisor - 2nd Shift
We are seeking an experienced CNC Supervisor to lead second-shift machining operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising employees, setting up and operating CNC equipment, troubleshooting production issues, training employees, and supporting continuous improvement.
Job Duties
- Supervise and direct second-shift CNC and production employees
- Set up and operate CNC turning and/or milling machining centers
- Edit programs and assist with setup of new machining jobs
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues
- Train operators and setup personnel
- Improve existing machining processes, programs, and setups
- Monitor production rates, quality, and workflow
- Assist with tooling needs and job scheduling
- Perform routine preventative maintenance as required
- Support 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain compliance with quality and safety procedures
- Communicate production information with first-shift supervision, management, and maintenance
- Assist with hands-on production and machining as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Five or more years of CNC machining experience required
- CNC setup and machine operation experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Ability to edit CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues
- Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to train employees and manage multiple priorities
- Dependable attendance and commitment to safety and quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent grasping and repetitive motion
- Ability to frequently lift up to 45 pounds
- Occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds
- Ability to safely work around CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment
Schedule
- Full-time
- Second Shift
- Monday through Thursday
- 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM
- Additional hours may be required based on production needs
