Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Product Technical Specialist is responsible for developing business relationships with potential customers and maintaining / expanding business relationships with existing customers, contributing to company and individual sales goals and objectives.
• Prospect new clients in assigned region(s) / territory.
• Increase sales with existing clients.
• Understands customer business models and product needs.
• Crafts solutions for customers that meet and exceed their requirements.
• Plans and organizes tasks & work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives
• Effective at closing a sale.
• Act as a subject matter expert on all products lines.
• Provide reports on progress in territory and opportunities for growth.
• Respond to RFQ’s as necessary.
• Work closely with other departments / teams on larger projects to ensure deliverables are met.
• Notify customers of new product launches.
• Maintain established margin objectives.
• Travel when necessary – likely 50 – 75% of the time.
• Other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.

Sales experience
•
CNC Machining Experience or Industrial Distribution or Supply Chain Experience is required
•
Demonstrated experience managing and growing sales territory
•
Ability to quickly build relationships with key decision makers in client organizations
•
Excellent presentation skills, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication are required
•
Self-directed and possesses a high level of productivity and personal organization
•
Ability to remain calm & professional under pressure
