Express Employment Professionals- Warren, OH is searching for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to work with our valued client in the Warren area. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.
Pay: $31.09-$32.41/hr
Shift: 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am Mon-Fri some Sat
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery, systems, and equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other related areas, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with industrial machinery, production lines, motors, electrical panels, conveyors, and other systems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems across different areas.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to maintain and repair machinery.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to identify maintenance needs and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring the work environment is safe for all employees.
- Assist with installation, alignment, calibration, and modifications of new machinery.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, performing quick and effective repairs.
- Maintain and organize spare parts inventory to ensure parts availability for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, such as OSHA and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar multi-craft maintenance role.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and other industrial systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Must be available for emergency calls, on-call shifts, or overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated systems, robotics, and conveyor systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Forklift certification.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Work Environment: This position involves working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
