Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Flux Core Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding various metal components using Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques. The Flux Core Welder must possess strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Set up welding machines based on the type and thickness of metal being welded.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Clean and prepare workpieces for welding, including removing rust, dirt, and debris.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Document work performed, including recording welding parameters and inspection results.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Flux Core Welder or similar role.
- Proficiency in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Welding certification(s) preferred but not required.
