A manufacturing company in Boardman is looking for a Shop Electrician to join their team!
SUMMARY: Prepares and assembles electrical components of compressor packages by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets and assembly and schematic drawings, and receives verbal instructions regarding each work assignment
- Plan and execute conduit routes based on drawings
- Use conduit bender to form conduit runs around obstacles
- Understands and installs different components and parts such as electrical devices and instruments on compressor packages
- Pull and terminate different types of wiring
- Use a welder to attach strut for mounting conduit to compressor package
- The ability to use Excel spreadsheets to import able tags
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to a year related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, balance, crouch or crawl and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
SHIFT: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (OT as needed will be Mon-Fri 6am-4:30pm and Saturdays 6am-12pm) with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid 15-min breaks
PAY RATE: $18-$26 based on experience
