Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking General Laborers for a local plant. The General Laborer supports various production, packaging, and material handling tasks to ensure efficient operations. This role involves manual labor, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and manufacturing of drywall products
- Load and unload materials, products, and equipment manually or with forklifts/pallet jacks
- Operate basic machinery or assist machine operators as needed
- Stack, package, and label finished drywall products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Support other departments as needed
Pay: $12.00/HR
Schedule: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or construction experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- 8” Lace up steel toed boots
- Willingness to work in dusty, noisy, and sometimes hot/cold environments
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion required throughout shift
