Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Welder for a local manufacturer. The Welder will be responsible for welding metals components of products and all types of trailers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Weld bolts, clamps, and tack-weld parts
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve welding problems
- Use fabrication equipment such as plasma cutter, cutting torch, and other equipment as needed
- Clean and quality check all welds, set-up/run structural welds
- Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform and successfully complete periodic weld tests
- Work in a safe manner and follow all policies and procedures
- Complete multiple reports
- Perform other duties as directed
Pay: $17.00/HR - $20.00/HR Monday - Thursday
Schedule: 5:00am – 3:40pm ; OT Available
Requirements
- 1 Year of Mig welding experience
- Must pass a weld test
- Must have your own weld hood
- Must have a strong understanding of how to interpret and use blueprints, welding specifications, and welding procedures
- Willingness to learn techniques related to repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, cutting, and reassembling parts
- Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices including but not limited to squares, levels, and tape measures
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift weight up to 50 pounds. Team lift when needed
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
