Position: Shop Mechanic
Location: Southwest Oklahoma City
Pay: $18-20/hour
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of oilfield equipment in the Oklahoma City area. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in keeping critical equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment safety and optimal performance
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including transmissions, pumps, and hydraulics
- Accurately diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mechanic in the oil and gas industry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
