Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and accurately document vehicle or equipment concerns
• Prepare detailed and accurate service write-ups and repair orders
• Recommend required and preventative maintenance services
• Communicate with technicians regarding diagnostics, repair needs, and timelines
• Provide clear updates and cost estimates to customers
• Obtain customer authorization for repairs
• Ensure completed work is properly documented and invoiced
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and follow-ups professionally
• Maintain organized service records and files
• Support service department goals for productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or similar role preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Automotive or diesel service experience
• Familiarity with service management software
• Sales or upselling experience
• ASE certifications or industry training
