Electrical Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Overview

Express Employment Professionals are seeking skilled Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Yukon, OK. In this role, you will perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components on heavy equipment and manufacturing machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical principles, a commitment to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and replace defective electrical components including controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and related equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and devices.
• Test and diagnose solid-state circuitry in digital and analog equipment and replace faulty components.
• Install enhancements and perform major upgrades to electrical subsystems.
• Design, modify, and maintain motor power control circuits.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and company safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
• Knowledge of and compliance with workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Proficiency in calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and installing electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 65 pounds from floor to shoulder height.
• Frequently push or pull up to 50 pounds (without wheels) or 100 pounds (with wheels).
• Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, reaching, and handling tools and materials.
• Ability to work in confined or narrow spaces.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements using hand and power tools.
• Possess sufficient manual dexterity for detailed electrical work.
• Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work at heights of at least four feet above ground level.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and motor vehicles when required.
