Industrial Diesel Mechanic – Heavy-Duty Trucks
Location: Salem, OR
Pay: $30–$40/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime: Paid at double time
Job Type: Full-time | Diesel Mechanic | Fleet Maintenance
Position Overview
We’re hiring an experienced Industrial Diesel Mechanic to work on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. This role involves diagnostics, engine and electrical repairs, and ongoing fleet maintenance. Ideal candidates are strong team players with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:

Efficiently troubleshoot and repair various heavy-duty truck systems

Carry out routine and complex repairs such as clutch replacements, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, batteries, air conditioning, oil changes, bolt-on parts, and transmission swaps

Properly tag warranty parts and handle returns, including thorough photo documentation

Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times

Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor

CDL A is a plus
Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy truck technician

Ability to diagnose complex engine and system issues

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills

Experience with Kenworth, Freightliner, International, or Peterbilt trucks is a plus

Must own your own tools
