Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Part-Time, 30+ hrs/week)
Location: Salem, OR
Pay Range: $30–$40 per hour | M-F 10:30 AM -5:00 PM 

 


About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Office Manager in Salem, OR to oversee accounting and HR functions. This position goes beyond basic bookkeeping and requires expertise in payroll, taxes, reconciliations, and employee benefits.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P)

  • Process payroll and prepare tax filings (W-2, 1099, etc.)

  • Handle HR functions including benefits, 401(k), and compliance

  • Prepare financial reports and assist CPA with statements

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Provide general office and administrative support


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or office management experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Job Details

  • Part-time role (30+ hours per week)

  • Hourly, non-exempt position

  • Office-based with occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
