Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher
Location: Woodburn, Oregon
Pay: $25.00–$27.00/hour, depending on experience
Overview:
A local company in Woodburn is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to support warehouse operations, transportation, and backhaul logistics. This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse administrative experience, forklift or shipping knowledge, and a strong background in logistics planning and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Dispatch:

Resolve driver, sales representative, and customer issues

Communicate route updates to drivers
-
Use software (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos) for reporting and documentation

Handle damages, shortages, and other shipping issues
-
Train and develop junior clerical team members
Backhaul & Logistics:
-
Coordinate backhaul orders and schedule pick-up appointments
-
Optimize pick-up and delivery of inbound backhauls
-
Research new backhaul opportunities

Ensure efficient warehouse workflow and transportation operations
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional work in warehouse environments, including cooler and freezer areas.
Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of warehouse administrative, logistics, or dispatch experience

Knowledge of transportation and backhaul operations

Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and computer skills

High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations

Familiarity with the geographic delivery area

Experience with Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, or Airclic
Physical Requirements:

Standing, pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, grasping, and manual dexterity
