Bookkeeper / Office Manager
Location: Salem, OR
Pay: $25–$35/hr DOE
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to support daily office operations. This role is key in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable

Assist in preparation of client invoices and tracking projects

Reconcile bank accounts, company credit cards, and generate monthly financial reports

Prepare and submit payroll to the accountant for 21 employees; report changes such as pay type or rate adjustments

Work closely with the accountant on payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Track leave, approvals, and calendar updates

Maintain and track certificates, insurance documentation, and professional compliance

Prepare and submit the annual SAIF insurance report

Coordinate general administrative support and office operations, including supplies and workflows

Assist with contract drafting, proofing, and distribution

Set up Project Command Center phasing and pricing

Assist in covering reception when needed
Qualifications:
-
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required

Experience supporting professional services, construction, or similar industries preferred

Familiarity with Deltek Ajera or similar accounting software

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
