Production - Basic Labor I
Pay: $16.07/hr
Schedule: Day, Swing, and Graveyard Shifts Available | Could be any day of the week
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Basic Labor I associates for a food production environment in the Salem area. This position is ideal for individuals seeking entry-level manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production setting.
Job Duties:
- Inspect and sort raw and frozen products to remove defects and foreign material
- Monitor product quality including color, size, grade, and coding
- Package products into bags, cartons, and totes
- Prepare totes and materials for processing operations
- Collect and document product samples and production information
- Support production equipment operations and clear product jams when necessary
- Report equipment issues and quality concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Regular lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around production equipment and in varying temperatures
Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- English and/or Spanish communication skills preferred
- Flexibility to work any shift and day of the week
Available Shifts:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Swing: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Graveyard: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
