Now Hiring Pressing Area Technicians

Express is seeking a dependable Pressing Area Technician to support production in a food manufacturing environment. This position involves operating presses, moving products, monitoring equipment, and maintaining sanitation standards. Position Details

  • Equipment Operation: Assist with production equipment, operate presses and powered lift equipment, and move press cages between processing areas.

  • Product Handling: Transfer products and by-products to designated holding or disposal areas.

  • Process Monitoring: Monitor and adjust storage tank temperatures using manual and electronic controls.

  • Sanitation: Clean filters, processing equipment, and work areas between production runs.

  • Safety: Follow food safety and plant procedures, wear provided protective equipment, and report equipment issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of automated food manufacturing and equipment sanitation experience preferred.

  • Ability to read instructions, follow manuals, and communicate production updates.

  • Basic math skills, including calculations involving fractions.

  • Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day.

  • Repetitively lift up to 60 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.

  • Push and pull up to 75 pounds using product handling equipment.

  • Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and access stairs, ladders, and elevated work platforms.

  • Work around production noise, cleaning agents, product odors, humidity, and varying temperatures.

Schedule

  • Shift times assigned based on production needs.

  • Must be flexible to work varying hours and 5–7 days per week.
